Pete Maravich will be remembered as one of the first true showmen of the sport of basketball. Although he wasn’t the first to show playground moves on the competitive court, he was the first to help open up basketball in the 1970’s. His outrageousness and pure talent produced immeasurable crowds to his games, and the “Pistol’s” amazing scoring records may never be broken.
